Objet ÷ Temps

/ 2020

How does the temporality reside in the dynamics of quotidian objects ?

By means of different mediums ( body, writing, exhibition ), the project Object ÷ Time traverses the temporality too commonly concealed within ordinary objects. The bodies, served as researching tools, are used to study two groups of objects during a workshop and five personal rituals. Aimed at inducing a vivid dialogue between bodies and objects, Object ÷ Time develops a unique dynamic methodology to explore how the objects embrace time and how people possess the time of objects.

The exhibition interlaces various temporalities in different scales: the time based on distinct geographic position, the limited opening hours, the temporary contents displayed under the program, the scenarios inscribed in the objects, and, at last, the time engaged by each participant. According to visitors’ own experiences and their engagement, a dissimilar collage of understanding is then composed and completes the experience of this exhibition.
