Ondo M

/ 2021

Ondo M, an outdoor brazier based on a circular, stainless steel plate, occupies the medium-scale design of the Ondoyant project. Its form is created only by a fold, cut, and rotation, repeated three times. It is exclusively the deformation that gives life to this object, offering surprise as the transformation from plane to volume is witnessed.

The state of the brazier changes slowly but accompanies another dynamic: a way of memorizing each usage, each trace, and each involuntary scratch. This long working time eventually emanates a unique “wabi-sabi” warmth from merely a pale, slightly cold metal sheet.
