Ribbon M

/ 2019

Ribbon is a series of manifesto furniture designs which reveals its inner strengths by its form.

Trademarking a raised seat in the middle, Ribbon M serves as a children’s stool. With an amusing seesaw that appears while putting it upside down, the design boasts no wasted space. Like Ribbon V, it is made of only one sheet of veneer. Due to the double-crossed loop, the stool obtains a stable structure.

Debunking the assumptions of fragility and firmness, Ribbon M reveals the resistance of the veneer and earns a more conscious use.
